Rishi Kapoor (ऋषि कपूर)
Rishi Kapoor was an Indian actor as well as a director and producer. He received many awards for his best performance in Indian cinema. Rishi Kapoor started his career in 1970 with his father Raj Kapoor's film Mera Naam Joker in which he played the role of his father's childhood. His first hit film was Bobby in which he played the lead role. He gave many hit movies like Heena, Bol Radha Bol, Nagina, Bobby. Rishi Kapoor worked in 12 films with his wife Neetu Kapoor.
Rishi Kapoor was born on 4 September 1952 in Mumbai in a Punjabi family. His childhood name was Chintu. He married Neetu Kapoor on 22 January 1988. They have two children actor Ranbir Kapoor and designer Riddhima Kapoor Sahani. Randhir Kapoor and Rajiv Kapoor are brothers of Rishi Kapoor. He has two sisters, Ritu Nanda and Reema Jain. His brothers, uncles Shashi Kapoor, Shammi Kapoor, Rajendra Nath and Prem Nath have been gems of Indian cinema.
Rishi Kapoor completed his studies from Campion School, Mumbai and then did his graduation from Mayo College, Ajmer. He died on 30 April 2020 at the age of 67 after fighting cancer for a year. He will forever remain alive in our hearts. Arora-Khatri team thank him for his contributions.
