Prof. Manoj K Arora (प्रोफेसर मनोज के. अरोड़ा)
Prof. Manoj K Arora is the current Vice Chancellor of SRM University, Andhra Pradesh. He has an academic career of more than 30 years. He has published more than 25 PHD Thesis and 56 Masters Dissertation. He has also written 2 Books and 16 Book Chapters. He has published more than 250 research papers. He is known for his contribution in Academia.
He started his journey from Kendriya Vidyalaya Roorkee, where he did his 12th from PCM. He did his Bachelors in Engineering from Punjab Engineering College, Chandigarh. He completed his Mastes in Civil Engineering from IIT Roorkee and then completed his PHD in Remote Sensing from Swansea University.
Prof. Manoj started his career as a Senior Research Fellow in IIT Roorkee. He was a Lecturer in NIT Kurukshetra for a short span of time. He went on to become a Trainee at University of Bern, Switzerland. He went on to become a professor in IIT Roorkee for the next 30 years. He then became VC of Punjab Engineering College for 5 Years. He also became the VC of BML Munjal University for 4 Years. Currently He is the VC of SRM AP.
He has earned outstanding teacher award multiple times in IIT Roorkee. He also won CSA (Commonwealth Scholarship Exam) for PHD in UK, DST Scientist Award, AICTE Young Teacher Award and more.
He has contributed his entire life in academia and in the field of remote sensing, geoscience, photogrammetry. We are proud of him for his contributions and making India proud. Arora-Khatri community wishes him all the best for the future.
