Priyanka Chopra Jonas was born on July 18, 1982 in Jamshedpur, India, to Capt. Dr. Ashok Chopra and Dr. Madhu Chopra, both Indian Army doctors. She was raised in a highly diverse environment. She began her study as a resident student at La Martinière Girls College in Lucknow, and after a short tenure at Maria Goretti College in Bareilly, she was ready to continue her studies in the United States. She opted to pursue a career as a software engineer or a criminal psychologist after completing the tenth grade in Boston, Massachusetts, in the United States. She is fond of Indian music and dance, has a talent for writing poems and short tales, likes reading, especially biographies, and has contributed to several social welfare initiatives.
