Indian actor, singer, director, radio host, and television host Annu Kapoor born on 20 February 1956. He has acted in more than a hundred movies and television shows. He has worked as an actor, producer, director, and singer for more than 40 years. In addition to acting, he hosts a radio programme on 92.7 Big FM called Suhaana Safar With Annu Kapoor. He has received various honours over his career, including two Indian Television Academy Awards, one Filmfare Award, and two National Film Awards.

Kapoor received his education at St. Joseph's Convent School in Allahabad and later graduated from the Film and Television Institute of India in Pune. He began his career as a stage actor and later transitioned to television and film. He made his acting debut in the Amitabh Bachchan film Kaala Patthar, in an uncredited part (1979). Following that, he had several appearances in movies including Aadharshila (1982), Betaab (1983), Mandi (1983), and Khandar (1983). (1984). With Utsav (1984), in which he played the part of Masseur, he achieved his first major success. He has received critical acclaim for his performances and has won several awards, including the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in Vicky Donor.

In addition to his film career, Kapoor has also hosted several television shows, including Antakshari, a musical game show that aired on the Zee TV network, and Neengalum Vellalam Oru Kodi, the Indian version of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? that aired on the Star Vijay network. He has received several awards for his work as a television host, including the Indian Television Academy Award for Best Anchor for Antakshari. Kapoor has also worked as a voice actor and has lent his voice to numerous films, television shows, and video games. He is known for his distinctive baritone voice and has won awards for his voice acting, including the Screen Award for Best Voice Over for the film Taare Zameen Par (2007).
